TAFL (Teaching Arabic as a Foreign Language) was established by the University of Alexandria as a response to the demand put forward by the Arabic Departments of European and other international Universities.
TAFL receives students from all over the world, and has signed co-operation agreements with many universities in the United States of America, Spain, France, Russia, Germany, and the United Kingdom – among them are SOAS, Westminster, Durham, Middlebury, West Michigan, IFSA, Daito Bunka, Fulbright, and Georgetown. In addition, private/individual students whom are granted fellowship by universities, governments, or organization have been served by TAFL. Some of these students came from Sweden, Japan, Korea, Russia, Germany, Spain.
